“Is hair transplantation for me?” is one of the most common questions people ask themselves when looking at their balding head in the mirror. Unfortunately, there is no one answer that applies to everyone. Getting a hair transplant largely depends on how fast you want to achieve results and how much money you’re willing to spend.
Hair transplants aren’t cheap. On average, the prices for hair transplant procedures range from $5,000 to around $15,000, not taking into account how little or how many hair follicles are going to be transplanted. Wayne Rooney, star striker for The Manchester United, reportedly spent around £13,500, that’s around $20,000, for his hair transplant procedure back in 2011.
Different balding people have a variety of reasons to get hair transplants. Some have very straightforward reasons, like Wayne Rooney, who said on his Twitter, “Just to confirm to all my followers I have had a hair transplant. I was going bald at 25 why not. I’m delighted with the result.” While some are left with no other choice.
Other balding people, however, just dive right into getting hair transplants. Their logic is: If they’re going to try to “fix” their balding problem at all, even though hair transplants aren’t cheap, they’d rather just dive right into it instead of wasting their money on topical creams, pills or specially formulated shampoos that may or may not work.
If you’re still in your 20’s and are already balding – if you can afford it, hair transplants could be the answer to your balding woes. If you’re in your 40’s, or even 50’s, however, maybe it would be easier to just face the music? It is what it is, you know? Maybe it would be best to just age gracefully? This is just a suggestion, for the record. You can always get hair transplants if you feel you really need it, even if you’re already in your 40’s or 50’s.
Some older people have claimed that getting hair transplants helped boost their confidence; so if your balding head is making you feel uncomfortable and is affecting your confidence, and if you feel that hair transplants could help you gain your confidence back, then we’re in no position to argue.
